ALL THAT GLITTERS {can be nails}

IMG_2616

For as long as I can remember, I have been cutting my nails short. I have been an artist all my life and artists don’t have long nails….we have working hands.

I was having lunch with my crazy talented lady pal Stephanie a few weeks ago. We talked about collaborating on a project and nail-art was a great one–cause our style philosophy is so different. Stephanie is POLISHED STYLE all the way- with all the trimmings. Her hands are delicate and her nail beds are divine. We had to do this.

Usually, when I have to make something better on the fly, I just put glitter on it. My nail-bettering concept is the same:

You will see that really, this is the easiest nail ditty you have ever seen.  I polish my nails imperfectly, then slam those puppies in a pile of glitter.  I do not wipe off the excess glitter–rather, I let it land on whoever or whatever comes in my path first.  FAIRY DUST!

When Stephanie came over to the Glitter Suite for nail time–she wore sequins.  Naturally, I had to match that and pull out the tinsel hair extensions.  This was a special occasion after all!!  Steph was so decked in gold.  It was awesome.

Her inspiration was confetti!  Naturally.  If you have ever received one of her genius prints from the SS PRINT SHOP, you will be greeted by a delightful sprinkling of the stuff!  If you have a hardy selection of nail colours, like Steph, then you can accomplish her confetti look with your spectrum and the everyday straight pin!  EASY and COOL!

Shenanigans

We laughed the entire time and had the kind of fun that two school girls would have on a Friday sleepover night.  But, this time, it was daytime and we are older now.  Or so I am told.

Thank you Stephanie for taking {most} of the amazing photos and all of your graphic genius.

What happens in the Glitter Suite….stays in the Glitter Suite!  Right? XXOO
